Jurassic Park è stato presentato per la prima volta nel giugno 1993, diventando all’epoca il film con il maggior incasso di sempre. Il film ha vinto più di venti premi ed è stato ritenuto culturalmente, storicamente ed esteticamente significativo.
I dinosauri di Jurassic Park sono stati progettati dallo Stan Winston Studio (SWS) e portati in vita sullo schermo attraverso una combinazione innovativa di animatronica live-action a grandezza naturale del team di Stan Winston e immagini generate al computer da Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). Sono diventati un punto focale del film, con il T.rex che è diventato “la star del film” secondo il regista Steven Spielberg.
C’erano due animatronici Tyrannosaurus rex a grandezza naturale costruiti per essere utilizzati sui palcoscenici nella sequenza dell’attacco alla Main Road. Uno era un animatronico a grandezza naturale lungo dieci metri, mentre l’altro era più preciso e costruito solo dal busto in su.
Elite Creature Collectibles è orgogliosa di presentare una riproduzione della testa del Tyrannosaurus rex in scala 1/2 di Jurassic Park (1993) in collaborazione con Stan Winston Studio. Oltre a un esercito di artisti e maghi della tecnica, il team originale di Jurassic Park T.rex allo Stan Winston Studio comprendeva lo scultore capo Mike Trcic, il progettista dello schema di verniciatura John Rosengrant e l’artista chiave dei denti e degli occhi Rob Hinderstein. Con il grande supporto di Greg Nicotero, il team ECC ha avuto accesso pratico a uno degli oggetti di scena originali del film Jurassic Park per la scansione 3D ad alta risoluzione. Con queste informazioni, oltre all’ampio materiale di riferimento d’archivio per gentile concessione degli Stan Winston Studio Archives, l’artista chiave dell’ILM Bitan ha realizzato una ricreazione fedele del personaggio originale del film, mentre gli artisti chiave dell’ECC Miyo Nakamura e Miranda Jory hanno fedelmente abbinato l’iconico schema di verniciatura del T.rex.

Jurassic Park premiered in June 1993, becoming the highest-grossing film ever at the time. The film won over twenty awards and has been deemed culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant.
Jurassic Park’s dinosaurs were designed by Stan Winston Studio (SWS) and brought to life on-screen via a groundbreaking combination of full-size live-action animatronics by Stan Winston’s team and computer-generated imagery by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). They became a focal point of the film, with the T.rex becoming “the star of the movie” according to director Steven Spielberg.
There were two life-sized Tyrannosaurus rex animatronics constructed for use on sound stages in the Main Road attack sequence. One was a thirty-seven-foot-long, full-sized animatronic, while the other was more precision-based and built only from the torso up.
Elite Creature Collectibles is proud to present a 1/2 Scale Tyrannosaurus rex Head Prop reproduction from Jurassic Park (1993) in collaboration with Stan Winston Studio. In addition to an army of artists and technical wizards, the original Jurassic Park T.rex team at Stan Winston Studio included lead sculptor Mike Trcic, paint scheme designer John Rosengrant, and key teeth and eye artist Rob Hinderstein. With great support from Greg Nicotero, the ECC team had hands-on access to one of the original Jurassic Park film props for high-resolution 3D scanning. With this information, as well as extensive archival reference material courtesy of the Stan Winston Studio Archives, ILM key artist Bitan crafted a faithful recreation of the original character from the film, while ECC key artists Miyo Nakamura and Miranda Jory painstakingly matched the T.rex’s iconic paint scheme.
